Sankara Eye Hospital @ Pammal also participated in the World Glaucoma Day. On the eve of World Glaucoma Day, the hospital has conducted a special free eye screening camp on 12.03.2011. More than 350 persons were screened between 7th and 12th of March and 67 were identified having Glaucoma. The patients were advised for further treatment. Dr.D.Vijayashankari, Consultant of the hospital demonstrated a video presentation on the causes of Glaucoma etc and explained about the prevention & control of Glaucoma.
